The new pamlico 100 is $525....ish. That's 125 bucks more than it used to be. Dang.

Boy doesn't that make the one I got at Dick's for $199 the day after Thanksgiving look like the steal of the century.....

Same deal I got a few years back (I think it was the same day you got yours if I remember right). :D

Being the high level cheap-ass that I am, thinking back on that still brings me joy, and now even more so since they apparently have gone up in price by $129.

Inflation or improvements?

I don't know, probably a combination of things. Inflation, economy, market, whatever. They probably sell plenty so they can afford to raise the price. As for improvements, it's the same boat with a better hatch and some leg padding. I think the seat was full on phase three (back and bottom). I'm not sure if they have a sealed hatch or not, but if so, that would be an improvement.

Things just get more expensive it seems. I noticed the avids I use are $170 now and used to be $140 at most. And when you look though the tackle it has really went up as well, especially hard baits.

Hmm, sounds like they made it better. The seat might be worth it, but there are so many on the market... The avids have a new blank, but....

nothing ever really comes down once it goes up. All my favorite german beers that were 2.50$ bottle 2 years ago saw the Euro gain against the dollar and went to 5$. Now the Euro has lost and is losing vs the dollar. Did they drop the price? Heck no.

Just like gas, raise it to 4 dollars and people think it is a bargain at 3 dollars. The prices on hardbaits has gone up quite a bit.

The Tarpon and the manta ray are proven smallie fishing SOT's. They are the boats of choice as far as SOT's go. You just have to decide on length, if you haven't already, which effects turning and weight.
