'Iron Man 2' is very fun, but the story in this sequel isn't as interesting as the first origin story. It also felt longer than the original. Why? Dialogue was heavy and the action sequences weren't as prevalent Movie The Lost Samaritan. Overall, an entertaining experience, but my main criticism of the first one was that it needed MORE action at the beginning and in the middle. This new film has a brief stint of action a quarter of the way in, but then becomes laughable halfway through Movie The Lost Samaritan. The chases and explosions and shoot-outs are well-filmed, as are the big fight scenes, especially a brutal battle in a tunnel and the opening sequence where Somali pirates suddenly find the thin red beams of automatic weapons touching many parts of their bodies Movie The Lost Samaritan. But the most satisfying moments come from seeing these guys do what they do best, one on one. Couture takes on Austin Movie The Lost Samaritan. The very compact Li takes on the giant Lundgren Movie The Lost Samaritan. "Bring it, Happy Feet," the big man tells Li Movie The Lost Samaritan. Statham takes on a bully. And then his pals. Into this world arrives young Aang, who is found frozen in ice by siblings Katara (Nicola Peltz, also our narrator) and Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), members of the over-powered and subjugated Southern Water Tribe. Aang doesn't know it yet, but he soon discovers that he's been frozen in ice for the last 100 years, and his presence has alerted young Fire Prince Zuko (Dev Patel, "Slumdog Millionaire"), who has been scouring the land all these years in search of the Avatar in order to find redemption and somehow get back into the good graces of dear old dad Movie The Lost Samaritan. Zuko is assisted by his kindly uncle Iroh (Shaun Toub), but is resisted by douchey Fire Commander Zhao (Aasif Mandvi), who spends the entire movie being evil and, well, more evil Movie The Lost Samaritan. If it isn't obvious by now, subtlety is not exactly the strong point of "The Last Airbender", and I'm afraid that's just one of many issues the film can't conquer. Yet it's hard to hold any of that against the movie while you're watching it Movie The Lost Samaritan. Favreau and his group have so much fun with these characters and this world that even when the pieces don't fit together you'll probably be carried right along with them anyway Movie The Lost Samaritan. It works better as a character ensemble than an action movie, and that ensemble is uncannily strong. And when it does get around to action, it's far more consistent than anything we saw in the last film Movie The Lost Samaritan. Iron Man was a movie of highs and lows, the first half blew the doors off the theater, the second half often seemed awkward and lost Movie The Lost Samaritan. Iron Man 2 maintains a consistent and even keel throughout Movie The Lost Samaritan. It's never as exhilarating as the first Iron Man is at its best but also never as ordinary as the first Iron Man was at its worst Movie The Lost Samaritan. It's a worthwhile tradeoff.
