There are a lot of plot threads to juggle, but Favreau does so with a deftness that belies his limited experience behind the camera (he'd only directed three films before he helmed the first Iron Man) Movie Maneater. He's ably assisted by a sparkling script from Theroux, who nicely blends the humour, drama and action Movie Maneater. Once again, Downey Jr owns the film. He plays Stark with equal measures of smarm, class, bravado, showmanship, selfishness and fear Movie Maneater. The biggest asset he brings to the role, though, is believability Movie Maneater. And he's more than ably assisted by a stellar cast that all turn in outstanding performances Movie Maneater. Tough-guy Rourke is suitably menacing as Vanko/Whiplash, proving a real threat to Stark/Iron Man. Rockwell almost steals the whole show as Hammer, a ruthless industrialist who wants nothing more than to bring down Tony Stark. Paltrow is more palatable as Pepper Potts this time round, and is given a lot more to do. Johansson smoulders as the Black Widow (let's hope she returns for the third film!) and Sam Jackson is back as SHIELD leader Nick Fury, starting to put in place the set-up for The Avengers. On top of the token black guy, every film starring the undead needs an over-the-top villain, and in the case of the Resident Evil series, it's Albert Wesker (now played by Shawn Roberts), the powerful leader of Umbrella Movie Maneater. First and for most, anyone who wears sunglasses in an underground facility is automatically a douche, but on top of that Roberts employs this monotone action-villain accent that is just plain cheesy Movie Maneater. Plus he smirks as if to alert the audience that Wesker is indeed one bad motherfucker Movie Maneater. And the world weeps. Selbst eingefleischte Fans durften vergleichsweise wenig Gefallen an diesem arg kreativlos und uninspiriert zusammengekochten Aufguss diverser Neo-Klassiker finden. Der einzige Grund ins Kino zu gehen, konnte somit sein, die Wette zu gewinnen, wer mehr Anleihen und von anderen Filmen Abgekupfertes zu entdecken vermag Movie Maneater. Angefangen bei denen, die bereits im Prolog verwurstet wurden, uber Blade, bis hin zu I am Legend und etlichen mehr. Insgesamt stemmt sich Resident Evil: Afterlife zwar knapp uber das Niveau seines Vorgangers, aber das auch nur, da der Film mit knackigerer Action aufwartet und es ihm damit gelingt, kurzweilig zu erscheinen Movie Maneater. Trotz dieser dummlichen Inszenierung durfte dennoch noch lange nicht das letzte Wort uber diese Reihe gesprochen sein Movie Maneater.
